Equilibrium Elementary School is a faith based private education institution. It has been founded in 2018 and opened its Pre-primary phase for the 2019 academic year.

Equilibrium Elementary School is embracing 21 century education strategies. We seek to prepare international minded learners to thrive in a fast paced, ever-changing world. The school will seek to instil upon its learners the same values upon which it was founded, namely; good character, consciousness of Allah, oneself, the community and the environment.

Facilitate learners to attain educational excellence
Offer learners varied and innovative learning opportunities in and out of the classroom

Support teachers to become confident, responsible, innovative, reflective and engaged

 Holistic Curriculum. Beyond CAPS

Instill a sense of community and environmental awareness amongst learners
Assist learners to become positively self-aware and God conscious
Adopt practices in-line with international schools to develop internationally minded learners. Develop and implement the latest approaches in the teaching of Islamic Sciences, Qur’an and Arabic as a 3rd language.

Pre-Primary Principal

Mrs Rushaan Philander is a qualified Pre-Primary teacher with extensive experience. Her experience has been acquired within the local and international school environment. She taught both the WCED Programme as well as the International Baccalaureate PYP Programme. She will head up the Pre-Primary School.

School Curriculum

Equilibrium Elementary is aligned to South African national academic standards,
and we further seek to extend student learning to meet international grade level standards.
We are a value based educational institution with a strong focus on Maths, Science and
Islamic Studies including Arabic.

At Equilibrium Elementary, we provide high quality education at an affordable cost. Beyond monthly tuition, we aim to limit the amount of extra costs to learners and their families.

 Where is the school situated?

We are situated at KT Grows, corner of Schaapkraal and Olieboom Road, Cape Town.

 How old should a learner be to enter grade R?

5 years old.

 How old should a learner be to enter Grade 1?

6 years old.

 Does the school teach hifdth/Qur’an memorizing as part of its program?

Yes. The program begins in Grade R.

 Does the school offer extra mural activities?

The school offers a host of extra mural activities at different periods throughout the year. Contact the school for a detailed list of activities.

 How much is the application fees?

Application fee is R650.00 (This fee is subject to change)

 Which grades will the school cater for in 2025?

The school will accept applications for Pre Primary and Grades R-4.

 Does the school have it’s own transportation for students?

The school facilitates lift clubs for students as it does not operate it’s own transportation yet.
